Records, 1987-1996.

Consists of correspondence and documentation of committee meetings. Correspondence is divided into four groups: General, constituent requests, chairman Bill Purcell, and elected officials. Meeting records are chronological and may consist of agendas, summaries or previous meetings, reports, notes, newspaper clippings, resolutions, written statements and handouts from presenters. An unexplained gap exists in the documentation of meetings from April to August, 1991. Three video tapes (VHS format) are included in this record group. "Families and the Media" and "Families and the Media: What is the Role of Government?" are from a seminar held in Nashville known as "Family Reunion IV" hosted by Vice-President Al Gore. President Williams J. Clinton speaks on the video, "Families and the Media."
